There used to be a TV show called Tales from the Darkside, every episode started like this:
Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality. But... there is, unseen by most, an underworld, a place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit... a Darkside.
The not so brighly lit side of the numbers is the state data. The county data seems to lag for a few days, I'm going to try to come up with a chart which shows how much, but I haven't gotten to it. The lag makes it seem as though the current numbers are lower than last weeks, which make it difficult to figure out whether things are going in the right direction. The state data seems to available immediately. I'm not sure why there is a difference. As of this article 7/23, the state number show that infections in Chester County are on the upswing, which is unfortunately the trend in the United States.
Note:10/8
The state changed the source of the data, but it should be back now.
